Ok, got my new toy today, I've been after a edc pen for some time now, before Xmas if I remember, cause I got my notebook for Xmas.. my thing is I wanted a simple pen, something I could carry everywhere I went, I really wanted a bolt action pen but then I started thinking how much of a pain it would be and if I had to go through a metal detector they would probably keep it for themselves! So I started thinking hmm pocket carry, pocket carry, pocket carry, what would be better then a fisher space pen bullet? Soft on both ends, so it wouldn't poke a hole or stab your leg, but what if you sat down and it rolled out some how? Your now out like $20! Then I said I could just do the simple Bic breakdown? Cut it to a ok length, and when needed take the cap off, flip it and it would make it a little longer! But still, I'd like something a little better..
So I've been looking around and finally found something, pretty much a cross between the bullet and a Bic breakdown, I had a few questions before I ordered so I asked the owner who was nice and answered all my questions, and well I ordered and got it today! Of course I had to putts around and then strip it to see what's what. And well I must say this things pretty cool! I took pics
Ok, so, like I said it's a cross between a bullet and a bic, size wise it's right there with a inka and a bullet, simple flip like a bullet so you don't have to undo, unscrew, snap back and so on like the inka(still a nice pen)!
It's also a hard plastic, unlike the others that are both metal, which makes it much more cheaper! Another little trick to it is the bic ink fits, so if and when it runs out, no need to toss it, just take a bic(everyone's got a few) take out the ink and it to size, got a new pen! Some might not want to do that because of the ink and thinking it might flood the pocket, yet another little thing is, it's all contained inside, even when downsized the cap like part is sealed so if the ink did pop, it won't do so inside your pocket, like a bic breakdown, with the little breathing holes on the end!
And lastly, the price isn't bad, so if you do carry it everyday, and you lose it not only do you get three, depending on what package you get, so you'll have another at home, but your also not going to be out big$$
Over all I think it's a neat little setup, nothing fancy, very simple, and a good little pocket pen, thus the name Pokka pen, so it doesn't poke ya while in the pocket.. Any questions ask away,
Here's a few pics
