The sharp tip of the MP-600's wharncliff blade makes an excellent thread puller. #domesticated

DAY 21:

I planted a kowhai tree.

What type of tree is a kowhai  Looks similar to what we call a locust or thorn bush here  People use the logs of a locust for fence posts as they are very rot resistant  :tu:

I love planting and watching trees grow :dd: :like:

So since we have all been carrying the MP for 3 weeks (some.have longer I am sure ;) ) How is everyone liking or disliking it  I for one am doing way better with the MP now and am glad I forced myself to do this challenge  :like: I didn't know how it would go but it has been a very positive experience overall  It has its shortcomings yes but what MT doesn't  ;) I will still be glad to get back to my other carry options but not at all desperate  :D The MP will also be in with my other EDC MTs as an option from now on as well :salute:

All I know is that it's a small native tree that attracts the native birds.

How is everyone liking or disliking it

I've carried the MP series on and off for many moon, and am reasonably happy with it.  I would be just fine with no other MT.  In my light-duty usage, the MP does everything I ask of it.  If I could have only one MT, it would be a Swisstool or Spirit. But fortunately, I don't have to choose just one.  I am growing a little weary of posting pics after 7x weeks, including the OHT Challenge, so I'll be taking a break in May.

Glad to know you are getting along with it so well PN :tu: since you have just done the OHT and are in the MP600 challenge which of the 2 do you prefer  I have an OHT on the way and was wanting to know which you prefer :salute: :like:

I would also like to hear from Zoid about which he prefers as he was in the OHT challenge as well  :tu:

Am thinking the MP600 would be a good tandem for the Fireman when I do get to go on a camping trip... God knows when...

Someone told me that it is even lighter than the Spirit...

Mr. Pinchy was my first multitool that wasn't a SAK and I've always liked it.  It's missing a saw and scissors so if this wasn't a challenge I'd probably be carrying a Huntsman as a companion piece, but I may be ordering a 400 or 600 pro-scout soon and they will be stand alone tools as they do have the saw and scissors.

Day 21

Made a hole in the belt for a DIY stopper so the lead wont slide of the belt. Use the pliers to tighten the knot as well.

Great to hear that its working out awlright for you, Poncho  :tu:

I like the mp600 from a functional point of view and its cheap  :D ... so I dont mind using it at work. Deployment of inner tools is fast enough for me, faster than the LM Rebar (if you dont slide the plier head back in - I dont). I like the steel and heat treat to. The the warncliff blade is functional in many ways also, I know many people dislike it..... But it lacks some attension to details, its not space efficient (the Rebar shines in that aspect), the blade/saw/file scissors could be 5-10mm longer and  there are other small cons like this.
30 days with one tool is a pretty long time to think about the MTs you are not using, I am finding that out now  Its my first challenge, so it could be that I would get tired of any MT after 30 days. But right now, i am getting slightly tired of using ONLY the mp600  :bnghd:  :D

Day 21...

In bed sick all day. No real use. I did use the pliers to pull the gel pack out of a prescription bottle, but no pic.
