I really like the KF4 with its solar yellow but haven't found one in great condition for a price I was willing to pay.  The KF4 & the SC2 are the only two Juice models that I don't have yet.

I need to get an orange Juice if I can find one with reasonable price.

Why? Because why on earth would you NOT want some orange juice?

:D

I have found a number of good deals on the Orange Juice on e-bay.  Setup a search and wait for the right deal.

I have owned a XE6 and a CS4 for about 5 years now, both are a good compromise solution to the age old problem of you have to make it fit into the handle you designed it around. The knife blades are smaller than Victorinox but are functional, you can cut similar to what any other pocket knife can. The blade shape has to be that way due to the size and shape of the handle, make it bigger for a bigger blade etc. I found the drivers to work well as long as the screw head was flat or reasonably sunk into the object, not going to take out a deep set tail light screw etc. Worked great as a range bag tool, most optics have easy access screw slots etc. The awl is horrid as an awl but works well as a ruptured casing tool to pick out a stuck shell casing. Pliers excell at fish hook removal and light outdoor tasks. A good companion tool to a rebar or similar heavier duty tool, and always office friendly. Great for hanging pictures, cutting small bits of garden string, wire etc. All depends on what you need. Glad i bought mine but the grass is always greener as they say. If only Victorinox would make a mini spirit....

For a long time i didn't like the Juice at all, then i got a KF4. Why on earth would they discontinue the best verson of the tool?? (I don't need a cork screw and i don't want a cork screw!) Ive been carrying the KF4 every day for about a year now and it's proved very useful. I think the reason i like it is that on the outside it's basically a little Wave. Here in the UK we are not allowed to carry a locking tool so the KF4 is perfect to edc. Yes, i think three little flat blades is excessive and yes the piers are light duty but i can live with it due to the overall weight and size of the package. I occasionally carry the Kick if i think pliers might be used but to my surprise I've stuck with the KF4 for a while now and im getting pretty attached to it.

I got a question for the Juice CS4. Is it normal when closed that there's a small slack? Like the plier are not fully close inside. See my pic :

I don't think that is normal with the Juice series  I only have a couple of the older discontinued ones though and some of the newer ones may be like this but my first thought is that something is preventing it from closing

I only have the "new" model Juice S2. It's ok. The scissors on mine don't have any serious issues, but of course it has the finger-shreddingly sharp flat drivers. I feel it's pretty overpriced for what you get. $65 on Amazon at the time of this post. 50ft-trad already did the Juice vs Deluxe Tinker breakdown, so I'll make another alternate tool suggestion; the Gerber MP400. Similar tool set, more comfortable handles, and ~$30 cheaper.

The only disadvantage is the MP400 being somewhat bigger.

The C2 looks like your picture. The S2 looks more like the new cinnabar scales, but red not orange.

From a cost/benefit standpoint, the Gerber MP400 makes sense.  I have four Gerber MP400s and they are very useful.  I especially like the locking capability.  This tool has great bang for the buck.  Interestingly, I purchased them as extras for some car kits with the idea that if I needed to use the pliers in a matter that would damage them, I would much rather damage an MP400 than a Wave or Charge.  After acquiring the MP400s, I learned that they were better than the disposal tools that I expected.

As highly as I regard the MP400, I much prefer the form factor and utility of the Juice.  The Juice does have its quirks but those who love them can easily work around them.  The sharp flat drivers can draw blood for the unwary but it is a simple matter to change the deployment method so that doesn't happen.

I didn't know about the red version of the S2 and have wondered about the rare blue version (that I have acquired).  It is nice to know about the background--thank you!

I am still partial to the original orange color but would love to have a red S2.
