I wanted the internal spring for a future mod, but alas, there was no releasing it from its metal cage. Until after giving up in desperation, I bent the mangles frame.... and "pop" went the rivet, and the spring went flying down 2.5 stories into the grass below :faceplam: whelp. At least I had fun for the last 30 minutes.
Know anyone with a metal detector ?
Use a large magnet. If you know the general location you should be able to find it.
