Juice Polycarbonate Sheath still in package - open it?

Just purchased the Polycarbonate Sheath (only $10 + shipping) and it is still in the original package. Should I open it and place it on one of my Juice MT or leave it sealed in the package? Probably wouldn't carry it as I have read they are very fragile. Photo from internet.

 :think:  While one voice within my head says DON'T OPEN IT, another says OPEN IT. 

Knowing what you've read about its fragility and the possibility of it breaking it while using it, I'd probably not open or use it.

On the other hand we must enjoy our purchases and part of that does come from use.

Are they really that fragile? I have something similar that holds my (very old style) phone and it is quite durable. What I read seems that most broke getting cought and twisted on something.

Yes, unfortunately it will break very easily if it is dropped or if the case catches on something while it is on your belt.
