Make sure the hook is in the closed position too, or you're making it harder.
(Image removed from quote.)I'm trying to put my mod together. I understand that I need to push back this spring with a screwdriver, but even with applying a lot of force I can't seem to push it back far enough for the scissors to fit in. I don't want to push harder and risk bending my liners and pins. What's the trick with these darn scissors backspring?

I always shove a mini flathead screwdriver with a shaft no thicker than the spring on top of the spring and under the pin and force it until I get the scissors to sit right. Sometimes for me, it's easier to have the liner in place so that I can apply pressure to a the side of the scissors with a flat surface.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
