Alox - The beginning of the end.
on: May 19, 2017, 03:59:53 AM
I thought I'd start this thread to remember the simpler times... something to look back on when I'm older and struggling to pay rent or even stand up under a massive mound of alox.   :D

This isn't all my current alox by any means but I think it's all the colors I have, I include more than one silver model as the color of the cross/symbol differs  (not in the newer Cadet & Pioneer of course)

Left to Right:
'94 Vic Soldier w/KR, Silver Pioneer, Medium Gray Pioneer, OC Red Pioneer, OC Silver Electrician, OC Green Pioneer Settler, Red Farmer (different red), Copper Cadet, Hunter Green Cadet, Silver Cadet, Red Classic, Silver Classic.

"Tip of the iceberg" might be a better description, I don't think you'll see the end for awhile.  😛😛😛

I only had just a Harvester for about three years; then it hit me: in the following two years I had reached a point where I owned about a kilo of alox...

Hmm... They are addictive, yes, so I wanted some spares (and there was a point where I thought Vic was going to drop the Pioneer line so I may have gone a bit bananas then -possibly).

I've given some away now and sold a few too. What I have left now comprises

3 Pioneer
1 '06 Soldier
1 SI
1 Harvester
1 Farmer
2 Pruner Rancher

and my EDC Alox Rambler I almost forgot.

'See anything you like, magentus?  :pok:  :P

Well, I really favour 2-layer alox models over 3-layer ones, I much prefer a Rancher + Huntsman combo for example ;)

Plus, handling a PX in a store put me off because of nail nick position and too strong backspring. I figured I don't like EDCing 3-layer alox so why bother?
