I have an extensive collection of old LPs, mainly Classical. They long pre-date CDs, and I'm not interested in recreating my collection. Also have a number of CDs. The LPs supposedly sound 'richer'. My hearing can't tell the difference. The CDs are less subject to wear, and don't develop skips. Also its easier to find a specific track.
I have an old Bang & Olufsen turntable, pricey when I bought it 30 years ago. If you ever have to replace the stylus they're hard to find and expensive.
