automatic Window cleaning systems, robots

So, a site I can not mention has a window cleaning system on offer - I did not know such tools existed, and do not know how well they work

Has anybody seen or used such a system? any good?

I have not seen a window washing robot in person so I can't comment, but I have a Roomba (and have had it for years now) and I wholly support household robots.  In fact, Whoey was so impressed with my Roomba that he bought one too, and my parents were as well so they got a Roomba as well.  Then they bought the Luge, which is a gutter cleaning robot because they were so pleased with their Roomba.

Spec says glass has to be thicker than 6 mm, I've never seen glass that thick in any home window.

I saw that too.

some models, not this one, apparently can break windows if they are not thick enough.

I do not know how important this will be.  A quick search seems to suggest that regular house windows are about 6mm thick, and safety glass is thicker.... I do not have any glass to measure now.

I actually called the people that did my windows, so I will see what they say...

well, I was told there may be the odd, larger one, at 6mm, but the smaller ones are usually about 4mm.
The double, safety sandwiched glass that I have on balcony doors may be more than 6mm, in total. I can get the exact numbers if I want, but none of the regular windows is more than 6mm

Those things work good! It's a good investment if you have a business. Take note that things like that may get phased out after some time be sure you have a repair center and a good warranty for parts.
