Victorinox warranty - long turn around
on: October 08, 2014, 11:14:34 PM
Hey,

I had to send my Swiss tool in for a warranty issue (main blade not smooth on opening washer jamming plus the inside of one plier head didn't have the grip grooves formed properly)  :-\
Not long had it  >:(

I posted it off to Burton McCall in the UK as requested via email from Victorinox on 12th September - I'd not heard anything so emailed them this morning for a progress update only to be informed that my Swiss tool had being received and inspected then sent to Switzerland for repair and won't be back till the end of November !!!!

That's not far off 3 months  - I'm like what the hell

Is this the normal service they provide ? Zero communication and service at snail pace ?

Can't say I'm overly impressed at my first taste of there warranty thankfully I do have other multi tools

Sorry for the wee rant but Im just a little stunned

Thoughts welcome  :tu:

I know this is an old thread......

How long did it take in the end? I've just sent mine in to these people, they did state it might be 8-10 weeks.

That's my thoughts as well... couple of speSmurfpillsts doing repairs and, the new repairs that come in just get added to the back of the queue.  :ahhh

That's a pretty good turn around for a leatherman.

They go to Whitby and usually get replaced in 4-5 days ,perfect if it's a work tool  :tu:
