There is a follow up to the weedwacker photo. I put my long-time EDC Trooper on the Echo for the photo. I made a mental reminder to pick it up before I went back to cutting weeds, poison ivy, etc. Made my little annoying post on my phone. I was already tired. Cranked up the ancient Echo and cut some more herbage.
Drove down to the church and turned around. Went back up the humpity, bumpity, soggy Werecoyote Trail to home. Saw some more stringy weeds. Cut some more. By then I am good and tired. Went inside and reached for my Trooper. Gone. Checked every pocket. Checked the truck seat. Checked the same pockets again. I checked the internal data bank and saw my mental reminder to pick up the Trooper before cranking the weedwacker. Oh no. Somehow, I had channeled my inner-Valkie and lost it.
Probably in the driveway somewhere. Run over by a Chevy truck. Maybe twice. I walked down and found it. Hard to find a green knife in the green weeds, but I was determined. Somehow it hadn't gotten truck squashed.
I was determined not to say a prayer about the knife. If I can get one prayer answered, I 'm not about to waste it on anything as piddly as a green pocket knife. I'm thankful all the same.
Best wishes. G
