Just saw this Rike Knife Slingshot Multi-Tool on knifecenter.com

I like it, but its pricey...

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Price aside, it seems rather daft.

From this link: Knife News

Quote
“People can use it for hunting bird or fish for food in an emergency, while using the blade and additional tools for cooking or fire making,”

Fish

Had to google that and apparently people fish with a sling-bow which is pretty cool. Not sure how that would work with this tool.

Still, I want one

Its a bit sad that it uses tubes and not flat rubber-bands.

People who do their own bands cut them from therabands, that way you can much easier adjust the draw-weight.

...kids....

Tubes became popular on slingshots in the 70's when Wrist Rocket sling shots were all the rage.  Before then most people out in the country made sling shots with pieces of inner tube.

That price is awful, but other than that, I really like it.  Not sure about that tool with the strap cutting hook.  seems weird.

That's not a strap cutting hook, it's a gut hook. You hook it under the hide and use it to cut open the hide like a zipper, all the while missing any organs or muscle tissue that may be present. It's the easiest, most efficient way to dress a kill. This multi tool is all about getting rabbit or squirrel for dinner out in the bush. I like it. I want one.

Charles.

My first thought is, my slingshot doesn't need a bayonet. But after giving it another look, this might not be the worst idea ever.

And Metro's Juice Slingshot might be one of the cooler mods to a Juice ever. Again, having some doubts, but it beats the screwdrivers.

Its a bit sad that it uses tubes and not flat rubber-bands.

Not following. All slingshots I have ever seen use tubes?

Childhood days we used car inner tubes and cut our own, including thin laces used to tie them on.

Point of interest, only red inner tubes worked, black ones don't have enough stretch.........anybody know or remember red inner tubes?

I remember red tubes, black ones were so weak and not giving enough strecht to shoot far.
Best was using red tube and piece of leather from workgloves. Usually i breaked slingshot more often than rubbers
