But now at least you don't have to have to buy 2 separate waves. That's a plus.

Although I would like to see what the opposite looks like   :tu: black handles with silver tools and hardware. But I think this current iteration is probably the better, who knows.

It's been done with a few different tools by a few members. Not sure where the threads are but maybe someone has it bookmarked.

I prefer the stainless tools with black handles making a sexy lookin tool.

Stainless handle and BO tools not so much.

Good find, usually Cabela's LM stainless has their logo on handles.
Not listed at any of stores I can visit when in work areas.

I think I want this more than my coyote rebar, might sell that

But, at that point, for $100 would I rather have a swisstool instead?

Received email from LM.
Wave, Surge, and Wingman are now available in two-tone.  Wingman is black handle though with stainless tools.  89, 99, and 39 respectfully at LM site.

Now when jumping to the link from the email, the prices are listed at 105, 119, and 50 respectfully.

And Kaput, I agree the Wingman does not look good to me.

IMO, black oxide handles with silver tools or stainless/silver handles with black tools, they both looks pretty cool, that's if you want to add them to your collection as a "drawer queen", but if you are planing on using them everyday, they will turn from a swan into a frog once the black oxide start to get scratched or start to rub off the handles, blades and rest of the small tools.

It is sexy.

The Surge does appear to me as the best looking and yet be a worker.

I just feel the price is bit much for me to buy unless it goes on sale.

Looks so cool! These need to not be limited but be in the permanent lineup. They already kinda do it with the skeletool and freestyles.

Any idea how many Leatherman runs in these "limited" color runs?? 1,000, 10,000?

I ordered online from Cabelas. It came in clam shell packaging. The packaging did have some description that it was a limited edition, but otherwise it was your typical Leatherman yellow and black clamshell package.  :)

Very nice!
So this version does not have Cabela’s on the handle as the Stainless Wave does?

I was considering the Surge version of the two-tone, but no longer listed as available at Leatherman or Cabela’s, just the Wingman.

There are no logos from Cabelas on this Silver and Black wave so I'm assuming it's the same one Leatherman posted on their website?. It looks much nicer up close. My photos with my phone are not that good showing it.
