I have been following this challenge from the start and I really admire you guys! I'm pending from wanting one to not wanting one.. For the knife size I think I would do alright but loosing the drivers is an other..

Keep up the good work and keep those pictures coming

Update from the past couple of days. On Friday used the scissors, quite carefully, to remove the packaging from some new bike tyres. I had a pun*ture last Sunday and thought it was time to get some new bike tyres rather than spend quality time at the roadside with my friends helpfully providing commentary on inner tube replacement.

... and Saturday I did some more scissors with care around the shrink wrap of some bottled water. I'll save you the pics of me gurning my way through wrestling a couple of new tyres onto wheel rims but I did that too  :bnghd:

...Sometimes, when I want to control my weight and alimentation, I try to write on a paper all the things I eat. It's useful and make me conscious.
If only Executive had a pen, it could be possible do it during the challenge 😀...
I've used an app for that a couple of times, just to see how many calories I was having each day. It's a real eye-opener so see how much breakfast, lunch and dinner take off of the advised daily calorie intake!
I'm not going to do a real diet, only stop eating snacks and processed foods.
But not today, today is my day off and I need PIE!

Friday 14th

I like saturday mornings. Alone in the living room, the peace and quiet.
I'm having a cup of coffee made with a Phin (vietnamese coffee filter), a Japanese sweet called Mochi while working on a computer.
The owner has forgotten his Windows 10 password and is now locked out. After some
attempts to recover it I discovered there are 4 users on this computer, two are active and none have a password. Yet one does ask for a password... Now I need some time to think about my next move. I'm guessing I'll just format the thing and get on with it.

Executive, Phin, Mochi and computer

Oops, I promised you a cliffhanger, but completely forgot about it!
The 11th I unpacked a present and I never told you guys what was in it!

Executive Kodama

These little creatures are forest spirits from a japanese movie called Princess Mononoke (Mononoke Hime). I'm really fond of that movie and quite recently it played in a theater near me. We couldn't make it unfortunately. My girlfriend felt bad about it and got these for me.
They are really cool and they glow in the dark! This calls for some stayglow photo opportunities!

I had some roasted salted soy beans. Never had them before and they were quite tasty.

Executive Roasted Salted Soy Beans

Wanted to watch a movie tonight, didn't get to it, but ate the popcorn anyway

Day 15

Today I have used scissors to cut a piece of plastic. We were at restaurant and I have no pics.
When returned home, the Executive posed with my cat :)

I'd always wondered how much stress that thing could take. This post upped my estimation.

Last couple days have been nothing special.  We've acquired a low mileage Hyundai Santa Fe, and are offloading my 2008 Honda Pilot. One of the keyless entry fobs was dead, so the Exec pried out a battery. Finger nails weren't long enough.

Cut some cardboard from a box of diapers. Opened the plastic on a pizza from Target. Cut some threads on a pair of pants, and a twist tie on one of my daughter's birthday presents from last weekend. Opened a pack of espresso for my Bialetti. Normal stuff.

Getting a pose like that with the cat's eyes shut while placing the Executive couldn't have been easy.  Well done!

I really like the scales!

My concerns about this challenge's purchase influence was well founded. Last night, I saw an excellent Executive with a buy-it-now price that I couldn't resist and I ended up purchasing my 7th Executive (5th purchase since this challenge started). I was already tracking a very nice older model that looks new so there is a possibility that I will still try to purchase it.

I mentioned that one Executive that I had purchased had a significantly blemished nail file. Upon further inspection, it looks like a touch of rust near the pivot point and there is also a chip in the scales.
Executive Nail File - Before by NorCal Jim, on Flickr
I went back for another look at the auction to see how I could have missed these problems and discovered that the description was that it was very good with only minor wear and the picture showed a nail file in perfect condition. That's when I noticed that the seller had used a single photo to sell 10 Executive SAKs that were obviously in various conditions. After contacting the seller to see if he had one in better condition, he is sending me another and letting me keep the one badly in need of rehabilitation. This will bring my Executive count up to eight while still presenting me with a tough rehab challenge.

So why do I keep buying more Executives? My theory is that I really want to be using a pristine rehab'd Executive but am delayed with my own rehab from an upper arm wound. Since my three new Executives have not yet arrived, I keep jumping at used Executives in excellent condition.

Anybody else succumbing to the lure of the Executive after seeing the daily posts from this challenge?

I bought a back up Exec with black scales, just for this challenge. My red Exec is still doing well, though.

When I order the bunch of Spartans and Tourists I have set aside from the MTO Store (all with specific ads), I think I may get an extra Executive or two as well, the Ebay BIN prices for them are nuts. I enjoy collecting advertising SAKs. Aside from those for pharmaceutical companies (which I guess had such large runs, it rivals production of standard models), they're all rather rare, and it's quite fun chasing down some for specific companies, which is like finding a needle in a haystack for some.  In addition, as users they're typically much cheaper than standard models.  And there's a ton of special configurations made for various customers as well.

With one of my other inlaid ad SAKs, a Tourist for SwissAir, which was my EDC before the challenge.

October 15th

This was supposed to be my lazy Sunday, but it ended up to be a pretty productive day.
The weather was excellent so we did some garden work. Some plants and bushes needed to be moved.
It was more work than I thought, but the results are good.
I also noticed the purple berry plant has purple berries again.

Executive x Callicarpa Bodinieri

When I was done it was time for a cup of coffee. Then my orchids caught my eye and I decided to give them some love too.

All this gardenwork has me yearning for the Victorinox floral knives

Hot cuppa on a cool Northeast morning.  My work schedule is all messed up this week so a steady diet of caffeine is sure a help! The Executive sure comes in handy for tasks involving food or drink.
