Finished Altered Carbon, thought it was a decent sci-fi series, but some of the characters mumble(the protagonist esp) or have thick accents and there's tons of techno jargon/babble/made up terms that forces you to rewind a bunch of times so that takes you out of it from time to time, great special effects tho and interesting.

For a change of pace check out the Joel Mchale weekly show, extremely funny.

Watched a few more Punishers over the weekend. It's as good as I hoped it would be. The best of the Marvel series I've watched so far. Iron Fist was so slow and dreary I gave up half way through the first season.  Luke Cage was ok, but not as good as The Punisher.

yeah, agree, best marvel on netflix so far, I did'nt really like luke cage tho or crappy defenders, but punisher hit the right notes

Planet Earth 2 is pretty awesome. Fantastic cinematography. Lions hunting giraffes, bats vs scorpions, locust plagues, beetles drinking fog...highlights from the dessert episode I just watched. :tu: :tu:

Was that an Ice joke? Anyway, it gets better. Dr. Smith is spot on. I'm into it 6 or 7 episodes and things are finally coming together.

I'm up to episode 9 of Lost in Space. I'll watch the last one later tonight. I've really enjoyed it. Bit of a new twist to the story though.

Did you notice the real Dr Smith in episode 1, it is the guy who played Will Robinson in the original 1960's tv show.  He was also in a lot of the Babylon 5 tv show.

No, I didn't notice that. That's awesome. I love it when remade shows and movies pull characters from the original cast. Like Battlestar Galactica did

I ran through Altered Carbon recently. I remember reading the book, I dunno, ten years ago? I don't recall enough of it to say whether the show was a faithful adaptation. It was alright. I really liked the flashback episode, and anything involving Poe. Great fight scenes.

Currently working on Longmire, and just wrapped up Season 2. I'm enjoying it so far.

Not sure what's up next, though.

Altered Carbon is pure diamond (see what I did there?) for a Cyberpunk junkie like me  :salute:

Anyone else watched the Russian  "Sniffer"? I enjoy that one a lot as well...

Oh and where the hell is The Expanse 3rd season? I NEED IT NOW!  :twak:

I started watching Lost in Space at a very bad time.....too distracted to really enjoy.

That said, the tar pit/Helium incident in E07 has been a high point where I started to enjoy it.

think I'm at episode 8, liking it so far, not sure why it got such a low score on metacritic.

westworld S2 starts in a few days, another good sci-fi show

Then go back to The Expanse.  :tu:
I wonder if I should go back to The Crown after that.
And then what?

I really liked that.......but it seems these days when they find something good, they flog the horse and just carry on endlessly......

From the few new episodes I watched the writing/story line isn't bad, but I've just had enough.......

Danger, Will Robinson!
Just saw the first episode of this Netflix show, “Lost in Space”.
I gather that there was an earlier version, but all I know about it is the the catchphrase I said above....
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!
