I found a nice pair of Promedoca golok style machetes with fancy horse head handles and leather sheaths at a local shop. These are made in the Dominican Republic.

I saw one at a flea market once, they asked $10 for it but was in such bad condition that I doubt it would have made it home (rust, loose tang, cracked handle...)
They look exotic, though     :tu:

That they do. I must admit, they don't look all that bad hanging on a wall. I do find the handle not very ergonomic, or is this type supposed to be like that...wide and narrow. The wood used appears to be tough stuff, and there are 3 pins holding the blade to the handles.
