Signal/Skeletool
on: November 14, 2017, 12:58:38 PM
First of all, I don't collect mt's, I use them... I don't just carry it... I really use it on my daily work, and for that I love my skeletool, it's light on the pocket, decent blade oho, I use what he has and don't miss nothing he doesn't have.
The problem is... I already broke 2! :-[
Now I'm looking to the Signal (don't have one, yet)  as a reinforced skeletool, but I don't need that "survival" or "outdoor" whistle.
The idea I had was (and this is where I need some help): does anyone ever thought about changing that piece into a spare bit storage??  ???
Is there someone with a 3D printer, and skills, to try and do it?

Leave me your thoughts about it, please!

If you broke twow Skeletools you should try other tools. Victorinox swisstoool spirit is my choice!
Enjoy!

Cool idea about the bit holder. I don't have a Signal, so I am not sure how to go about making the mod.

I like the Vic tools too, but I'd rather pocket carry the wave, if that was the case. Oho is  a must for me, and I try to keep my pocket as light as I can.

G'Day,

I did a mod with a MUT part to fit where the small file goes. It works OK and it completely reversible. One of our inmates loki-mobile who sells the Leatherman bits got one for me. I thought of using the whistle too, but never pursued that idea.

Have a look at this thread: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,72408.msg1495196.html#msg1495196
