Given the time of year I thought I'd see what everyone is going to be giving and/or getting, and to whom?

I haven't yet decided who I am getting what for, but I'll probably get a SAK and/or multitool for each of my parents and possibly my brother.

I am giving away a couple of olights this year, no MTs though. I gave MTs away last year and not everyone is a collector, the ones I gave away last year are still in service and get used a lot.

I'm not giving any away this year. I gave my mum, sisters and niece a style for their keychains last xmas. No men in my family to buy for and none of the women interested in the slightest.

I'm hopefully getting the Olight S2R Baton for Xmas off someone in my family, but I won't know until the day. They asked me for a list and it was on it, but then I gave them a big enough list that it could be anything and I would have the surprise at Xmas.

My dad has never carried an MT, but he really likes my USA SOG pocket power plier when I showed it to him. He liked the size, tools, and weight. I got him one on evilbay in like new condition. He will be getting it for Christmas. Hopefully he will like it and use it. He owns an OG Surge, big Kobalt MT, and a Gerber MP600. But, he won't carry them, because of the weight and he only pocket carries. Maybe we'll have another MT EDc convert. :assimilate:

New Alox @work for my boss (the reversible stick is just great).
I'm considering, but have not fully decided yet, to give my brother a Winemaster.
Not sure, but I might get my mom a Midnight Manager, with the light and the pen its straight up her alley.

But most likely, I'm going to buy MTs/Tools and stuff for myself :D
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I think this is the first year in many years when I'm not giving anyone an MT.

All my friends and close relatives already have MTs.

I DID get a few Thrunite Ti3's to give to folks, but turned out I only had one friend who needed a flashlight. Because, apparently, I've also gotten all my friends and family little flashlights already.

A friend of mine recently got a new boyfriend, and after I figured it was serious, I got him a Climber with Sapphire scales. He already carried a fixed blade on his belt (looks like a morakniv, but not sure), and wow, he seemed to LOVE the Climber after having it for a few weeks. So I figure my 'spread the love of MTs' duty has been fulfilled for the foreseeable future.

Every year I've given my friends son a MT of some kind.  This year I"m not sure.  He works a job now where he cannot carry a MT or SAK.  I was thinking a flashlight but his mom got him one and he seldom carries it.  My kids have more than they'll ever use or carry.

I've already given a SAK to everybody I cared for, if I thought it might be useful for them.

Some I regretted, some didn't appreciate it, a few are still diggin' it. For those last ones, I say: YEAH  :multi:

I'm giving away quite a few all steel kitchen shears, the kind where you can take them apart without tools for proper cleaning. They have screwdrivers and bottle openers, so they are bona fide multitools.  :D

Those kitchen shears (poultry shears, meat shears, whatever you want to call them) that come apart for cleaning are SUPER convenient when taking whole chickens apart. Good gift. Lynn approves.  :tu:

EDIT: Mine are the OXO brand, no 'multi-tool'-ness to them, but great.

Likely Micras for the other two managers at work, and trying to find a decently cheap MP400 for one of the part timers who just enlisted.

I used to be known as the man who gave gifts that were previously alive. I gave a stuffed Piranha fish, a bull's horn cup, a bottle wrapped in furry cowhide with the hoof on the bottom and so on. Then for a while I gave full size Leathermans like Renata, Wingmans, Sidekicks, etc. I lost track of what LM' s I've given to whom.

Gave my buddy a Vic Huntsman for his last birthday.

This year, I think I I'll be giving PS4's and Micras to everybody. I have never given those, and LM fans like them, and non initiated May find them small enough to keep in pockets or purses and find them useful.

I had a multi-tooled Xmas gift theme two years ago if I remember correctly so that is kind of covered for many already. Then it was folding knives, and this year the theme is various pliers for those who might use that. Only a single SAK this year then.

I like themed gifts - makes the shopping a lot easier.

Debating a Vic Golftool for my old man. If I come across a '48 soldier (his BY) then that would win out... but chances are slim.

I'm looking at getting a Vic Climber for my brother in law and maybe a leatherman rebar for my old man. I gave him a Tinker that he abuses and thought maybe a tougher multitool would be better for him.. :P

I have a small Olight coming in for part of a Christmas present for my girlfriend; she's also going to receive a Classic and a larger knife, I do believe; my goal by next year is to have her bug out bag made.

Jelly Blue Classic for my Ma.  :climber:
(Is the Celidor jelly Blue different from the SwissCard ABS jelly Blue?  )

Maybe I can plant the seeds leading to regular SAK carry in my family...  >:D

I've decided I will be getting the friends son a deep carry Ti pocket clip for his Para 2.  While he maybe be able to carry it at work the clip will be a nice accessory.
