While scrolling through Instagram earlier today I saw a kayak related shirt that made me laugh my arse off.  This is the shirt:



Which of course reminded me of this photo taken of me in October 2014:



Apparently the silliest shirt someone could come up with can't compare with my every day life....  :facepalm:

Sadly I haven't really kayaked, except for a couple of outings on sea kayaks, in a few years. I used to race on a provincial level but I found it just got too competitive and took up every weekend (you would need to arrive at the races at 7:00am and only left around 8:00pm). I've been meaning to buy / build a kayak but then I have the issue of transporting it, maybe I can start with a canoe...

Seriously, though, I brushed the snow off the top of my big ol' Blazer, and thought, maybe it's time to take my kayak rack off the top of this thing

I thought about it, but as my boat is fiberglass, which is well known for not being terribly flame retardant that seems like a bad plan!

Much easier to just go south to paddle each year.... maybe Southwest so I don't risk another encounter with this guy:
