I was thinking that I will have to start a thread about my trip to Canada for new years, but i decided why not create a thread like “Monorogue’s Realm” or “House of Styx” instead and just post things there. So here I am. We are hosting a christmas party tonight, so lets start with that



We love to host people, have a really good place to do it with plenty of room, and there is even a shooting range out back.
Decorations are up (sort of) and I am about to start making my buffalo chicken dip. I am quadrupling the recipe this time, last time i doubled it and it was gone in thirty minutes. I will use my Spyderco Sprig to cut up the chickens so stay tuned. :cheers:

Had quite a party last night. Clean up should be fun. Had a couple broken glasses and spilled drinks, but nothing too serious. Now we are going to the girlfriend’s family christmas.

It took me a while to justify that purchase in my mind (and to my girlfriend) but it is a sweet knife and cuts well. I need to reprofile the edge and it will be 20x better still.

The finger grooves on the SOG are perfect. Fits my hand like a glove. Took some work to get it sharp but it is a good knife.

Well I broke down today on the way to an eye exam. I believe my transmission is shot, which will probably not be worth it to replace or rebuild. Now i probably need to figure out where the funds for another vehicle are going to come from :facepalm:

My girlfriend actually painted it. Its technically her place and not mine and her parents generosity is where the pool table and projector came from. (Birthdays, christmases, etc.) Its kind of a stucco material lined by brick. Started out tan, now it is gray.
