I must admit to almost being reluctant to even bring this up, but curiosity and maybe a little sense of adventure got the better of me.   :facepalm:
So here goes. 
I've ECD'ed the same basic set up now for years with the Swisstool X being the centerpiece.  I gave the Leatherman Surge a go for 30 days and was pleasently surprised.  I have and do still carry a Spirt X on "light duty" weekends and am considering giving it a full "heavy duty" daily run.  :ahhh
So I am wondering if any one would like to join me in a 30 day Spirit Challenge for the month of January.  :cheers:

Same here, that is why it's a CHALLENGE.  As I said in the intro I too am reluctant.  The Spirit just feels so "dainty" compaired to the Swisstool and Surge.  Makes me afraid I'll break it.  But if I do Vic offers great medical facilities.

This reminds me--I need to get a SwissTool (better for my uses) or Spirit (better for pocket carry). Unfortunately, for a buyer like myself, they hold their value much too well. Still hoping I score one cheap at a flea market, but around here's it's Gerber country.  I might as well buy a new one at used prices. The SUREFIRE is 15mm in diameter at the widest (head) and 76mm long.

My P3 is 15mm at the most narrow point. It fits when I put it in end first, but the larger zoom head is quite wide. Still fits though, since the head sticks out. But it's now to long to close it (94mm)

I'm just finishing up a Rebar challenge.....I haven't carried a SAK for 4 weeks now!....another 4 weeks without a SAK?..... :poh:.....but, still....the Spirit is a pretty cool multitool..... :multi:
