I am a suspension owner... It was too cheap not to try. Lol. Its a little bulky and no pocket clip, so i knew when i bought it that i would never edc it. Seems to be a good tool for the price. Has been living in my get home bag for 2 years now.

I have no idea how I missed this Club, but here's a pic of my NXT.  It's been a good, solid carry and the blade is hair-shaving sharp.

For the price, it is hard to beat. :iagree:

Welcome to the Suspension club! The NXT, when found without QC issues, is an MT jewel. IMO of course. :)

  I've been really happy with mine so far.  For some reason, I have hit it lucky with my Gerber purchases, but I've seen some of the ones with big issues too.

OK, yes I  own a Suspension,ok ok I will admit I own two

They are ok for the price.
BUT  what I HATE is the phillips screwdriver.!!!!
Because of that it is a deal breaker for me.   (I  use that driver quite a bit)
Leatherman's 2d phillips are a lot better imo.

I think there are quite a variety of version of the said 2D Philips. Some are quite OK and some are rather pointed. I do like them for light duty though. Like opening battery cover for my kid's toy or changing/repair electrical plugs. The best part for the Suspension line or Gerber butterfly design is that they can accommodate many long tools and they are all locking. Alot of good stuff in that very low price range. I often buy those beat up suspensions cheaply for their parts.  ;)

The version I have has a Philips similar to my Rebar.  I'm pretty satisfied with how it works so far.

Both the suspension black and the mini are on sale ATM at home Depot. 19.97 for suspension. 7ish for the mini. Also got a coast fixed blade for less than 7 and the Gerber machete/ pocket knife combo for 19.97

Very cool and congrats, Serena!  :woohoo:

The OG Suspension is great bang-for-the-buck! If the weight is an issue, the Suspension NXT is a good option. The NXT costs more, but is a more urban-update to the OG Suspension. :)

This was a present, I would have never bought one myself to be honest. It's too bulky. I'm also having a bit trouble opening some items. The nail thingy is not very handy…
Let's see if I will use it.

My OG Suspension was also too tight when I bought it. Some good oil(silicone based) and working the tools a hundred times watching YouTube(while reading MT.o threads) helped a lot. I can now flick the OHO blades out like they were assisted. :)
I'd never carry the OG Suspension, because of the aforementioned issues you stated(being some of my concerns also), but think it is a good "just in case" tool to leave in the car, work bag, drawers, etc. :)

Today the large screwdriver was used as a pry bar to open some paint cans:
