Here all you have to do is pull the meter, which is usually in an inconspicuous but accessible place, they have a wire lock which is only a tampering indicator, a screwdriver or similar twists them off easily, then the retainer, then the meter removes easily and safely. I have done this many times for demolition prep before the power company removes the wires altogether. Land line phone and cable connections require more planning, but power shutdown is easy. So having battery backup for security systems is the wise move.  :salute:
