When did Victorinox switch the Work Champ to a liner lock?

When did the Work Champ go from slide lock to liner lock?  Just wondering because I got mine from Amazon in January and received one with a slide lock.  I have heard Victorinox changed to a liner lock in the 2017 models.  They also started calling it the Work Champ instead of Workchamp.  Does this mean Amazon sold me "new old stock"?

Personally on a SAK that big I would want it slide lock just for the weight savings.
A Forester weighs 126.5g but the Rucksack which has the same tools but in a slide lock only weighs 101g. Imagine that extra 25.5g on your Workchamp.

Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

It´s hard to tell exactly when the switch occurred.
But the 2017 printed catalogue doesn´t feature any slide locks.

I purchased my Outrider from Amazon and it came with the slide lock, but it was what I was expecting not knowing they had changed, in my case all's well, but I'm sure for others not so much

Thanks, guys.  Just checked the weight between 2016 and 2017; 2017 is 77 grams heavier.  I would like the heavier duty, locking cap lifter/screwdriver, and I would like the blade more in the middle of the knife, but mine is heavy enough as it is.

A liner lock is a springy part of the liner that catches behind the knife blade when opened.
To close the blade you need to push the liner aside again.

The slide lock is an actual slide button on the outside of the knife scale that you need to pull back before closing the blade.

My mistake.  It's .77 OUNCES heavier.  Still makes a difference.
