Need help with a keychain,,
on: July 04, 2021, 12:27:42 AM
I used to use the cheap simple carabiner routine but then started switching things up, I kinda want to go back but in a diff way,  I really want to use an actual load bearing rock climbing carabiner then I want to split into diff setups, but then I don’t want this hanging down so far? I mean I really like this Bigfoot one but it’s not a real thing, I kinda like the mothership setup, where I could use mini s-biners, but I really want to make it easy to take something off when it came time, then I spotted this bad boy with the three holes and that’s kinda what I’m after, then each load, the keys, sak/duct tape, and hand sanitizer all on mini carabiners so long as they would fit over the main one? I just don’t know? What are your thoughts?

Many years ago I had the same idea and bought one from REI. The problem was that it had small little hook just where the clip would land when closed. So when I try to one handed unclip the carabiner from my pants it would catch on the belt loop. So I would waste time fiddling around until I unlooped it at a certain angle. Really awkward to do with your left hand.

If you have the same set up where you are clipping it your belt loop on the offside I would suggest to try to go to a store and try it out and see if it would work for you. It was so annoying I threw away the carabiner.
