They have the letters U.S. on the scales and the tools are painted black. I´m thinking of painting mine and making a $200 profit.

I really really want one of the US knifes but it's hard to justify when I can get a Soldier or Desert Trekker for $50 -$55.
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

I think this knife will be produced in large quantities in the long term.

If you're impatient you can build your own Special Forces version of this knife by getting a black Trailmaster from Italy (it's ca. 60 euros I think) and a pair of green scales - 6.90 euros - and voila, you have the same thing without any outward markings that could betray its connection to the US military should it fall into enemy hands!
