WTB: pre '04 Explorer. Pre '91, if possible

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking a pre-2004 Victorinox Explorer with the old, grey rim and 8x power magnifying (actual) glass. Pre-1991 without the back spring hook would be even better. I guess that means the older the better.

Does not have to be in pristine condition, but serviceable and carry-worthy. Maybe a C+ to a B in terms of condition? I am also scouring eBay, as I am trying to secure more than one of these, but often find responses and honesty here to be far superior.

I know it's a long shot, but thanks for reading, and if you reply, double thanks.

Thank you Zoid. I've done so, and unfortunately come up dry on the vintage and features I'm looking for. Still on the happy hunt, though. Gotta be some out there somewhere.

It's rather pricey, IMO, but seems in good condition and comes with plus scales.  No connection with the seller - happy to act as gobetween if you want.

Hello everyone,

Thank you to all who had contact with me here or through PM. Zoidberg, Lynn LeFey, Hiraethus, Sir_Mike, and Douglas, thank you all. I was fortunate enough to obtain a budget, but burly Explorer from a member, and another from eBay. I have a 3rd also on the way, and a happy accident which may yield me a Champion, unless it, too turns out to be an Explorer.

Unless this last one falls through, I should be OK.
