Someone has cut bits off  :o

 :D

Are you going to add to the patina or oil it now? You could try soaking the blade in vinegar overnight which would turn the blade a greyish colour  :)

This is most of them, there are a few more POS eBay knives that I'm not going to admit to and then there are a few SAK's and a LM Wave and a Micra.
Nothing too special, but a couple of the CRKT knives are nice enough for my tastes, in fact I like the mini Tighe Tac so much I bought 3...

Went to Lidl's today to buy kitchen towels....

I have seen these before but never bothered to buy one, however today I gave them a try.
http://www.lidl.com.cy/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_cy/hs.xsl/index_29305.htm

I went for the wooden handled one. All were 3.99 Euro.

Quality is prety decent thought the SS steel is a mystery. A step below SRM and made in China. The wood feels like the one used on BEE/Enlan models.

Some minor dings on the wooden handle and the action is not perfectly smooth (not bad).

Safety: It has a backlock that locks the knife when closed, as well as when it is open. A bit hard and weird to open as you need two hands; one to press the button, the other to pull the blade up, trying not to block it with your first hand.

Looks quite nice and unusual.

Thick blade; shown here with an SRM 763

Good for the money and has the Lidl guarantee.

Locks the blade shut?  That's interesting.

This is by far the most beautiful folder I've owned,I picked it up for (R20) 2$ at a nearby Cash Converters.

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time

Popped by the house and found this:

GEC Bull Lock.

I really liked the Grizzly cut bone and the overall look of the knife. Despite knowing that I would probably not really use a knife like this (too big and heavy, not SS; I have a similar one I never used for sale here http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,46155.new.html#new ) I decided to buy it and try to use it.

It is the Tidioute version (they had the bone I wanted) so it is supposed to be used. The lock lever is loose, so that you can put your finger under it. Not too hard to open, no halfstop, looks sexy, backlock.

It feels and looks like a 111mm Victorinox single blade knife (e.g. cowboy)

Here is a comparison shot between the GEC a 111mm vic and a Case large sodbuster. The GEC is the heaviest but they feel and look similar. When I held the Bull Lock in my hand I felt like it was the Vic cowboy (inspired?  :D  :D )

and with a similar (23) two blade knife, from the Northfield knife (Polished slightly different blade, decorations)
The Tidioute one feels and is lighter and slimmer.

Again, apologies for the lower quality photography.
