Day 20

:nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance: :nanadance:

Just some package opening, a couple of nice lanyards arrived.  :) Also I've been wondering for a while now, but always forgot to ask: why the heck is the metric ruler numbered backwards on the Rebar?  ??? LM managed to get it right on the Micra.

I believe it is that way because you can extend both handles at 180º between them and have a continuous ruler marking, so you can press or push the Rebar against the surface or line you are measuring without the pliers jaws hitting the thing or getting on the way,

if that's what you mean
My toys:

Well, I thought about that as well, but the inch markings go the other way, from left to right, as normal, or, if we look at it this way, then those go the wrong way. To me there's no rhyme or reason to it, making the two markings in different directions.

Its not uncommon for a ruler to do that same (annoying) thing.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

A ruler, as a head of state, or in a more general sense someone in power, "going in opposite directions", as in making/saying contradictory decision/things.

Day 21

Went out shopping and stuff, got home late in the evening, so just a beauty shot for today. Not Rebar related, but got good news today: my American Red Cross Charge arrived to my Florida connection, will be forwarded soon, so in a fortnight - postal services willing - I'll be a happy Charge owner.

Day 22

Some can opening. It's the second or third time I used the Rebar's can opener, and I'm really satisfied with it. It's almost a joy how smoothly and effortlessly it's cutting the metal. The beans and beef looked horrible cold and in the can, so I included a pic of the dish ready, it was a nice, hearty dinner.

Day 23

A different kind of kitchen duty: the knob/screw worked itself very loose on a pot lid, used the Rebar's pliers to hold the smooth screw head to be able to tighten the knob on the other side (after taking the photo of course, I only have two hands  :) ) To be honest, if this wasn't the Rebar challenge, I would have reached for something smaller and more comfortable, like the Juice or the the "super tweezer" on my Vic Hercules, but hats off to the Rebar, it did its job perfectly here as well.

No hard task for the Rebar today, but it cut my wife's home made roll nicely.

Day 26

The Rebar saw some unusual use today, but unfortunately no photos: in the morning we went browsing on the flea market, and the wife discovered that something got stuck in the sole of her boot. It was a small nail - casing nail in English, I guess -, I used the pliers to pull it out quickly. (My grandfather was a master blacksmith and horseshoer, so I must have some talent in these kinds of tasks... )  I think it's obvious why we didn't start taking pics of the process in public. :)

So, as it's Easter time, the pic for today is the Rebar with a couple of chocolate eggs (with Pop-Rocks candy, no less!).
