Saw that catalog pic years ago but never seen one in real life. And I've looked. This has always been a weird knife to me - apparently popular enough to put in a catalog but in 10 years of collecting and looking at hundreds of thousands of sales on line - I've never seen a single one of these?
I've wondered many times if they had the idea, printed the catalog, maybe made a few prototypes and got feedback that was "Seriously? A camping knife without a saw? That's kind of stupid" and they thought "yeah, they're right - add a saw" so the first production models came out with a saw. All speculation of course. But I've seen damn near every other variation of knife made - even small scale weird config special run stuff for advertisers. Never seen what was, ostensibly, a main catalog model.
