Leatherman CORE failure.
on: April 30, 2018, 05:57:25 PM
During the weekend the old CORE failed to me!
The safety lever broke under normal use.
Some rust under the hood, will talk to Leatherman to send it back under warranty.

Wow. Never saw a broken Core before now! I know broken Cores exist, but they are built like tanks! :ahhh

Probably just metal fatigue on a weak spot in the metal stock used that day of production.

Hopefully they'll have the part. I like the Core more than the SuperTool 300. Core has finer HD pliers and no tool clumping   :dd:
But, if they don't have the part, a new ST300 should take the sting out of the Core lock breaking. :tu:
Pontificating particularly pious positions pertaining to polymorphic paraphernalia. G-Man.

2 actually  I sent it in with a broken lock and the one I received broke almost as soon as I used it :ahhh Never really trusted the Core since and that has been almost a decade :D

The ST300 fixed the problem becasue I have never even come close to breaking one of those :dd: :like:
