Day 23
After carrying the customized Spyderco/MiniChamp it became apparent that the LW scales belong on the wonky bladed SAK.
What to do? :ahhh I put different scales on the Spydie.  I had two choices; scales with a built in LED and "Chip" on the scales, or LCS initials and a toothpick.
As you can see I went with "LCS".

I started this challenge wanting to use the PTC for the whole 30 days but the green Rambler is begging to be carried. For the next few days I'm going to carry both. I'll only reach for the PTC if the Rambler can't do the task.

I think the Rambler has a good feel.  That combo tool, ads some thickness to the Classic and I wanted you to have one.  Glad to see you're going to pocket it today.

I agree with you FoBo about the Rambler. It's a good size and versatile. I thought the MiniChamp would be too much in the pocket but this hasn't proved to be so. I'm very pleased to be carrying mine and might well stick with it for the rest of the Challenge (unless I am tempted otherwise). However.... I'm going to disagree with you  on the awl. I know the awl is very handy thing. But for me the missing tool on something that so obviously is a ready to carry anywhere SAK is the small glasses screwdriver. The PTC wins over the MiniChamp on this count alone and it's the one reason I was impressed with Leatherman Micra. So...

If Vic included a mini screwdriver in their 58mm line.... now that really would be amazing  :cheers:

I agree with you FoBo about the Rambler. It's a good size and versatile. I thought the MiniChamp would be too much in the pocket but this hasn't proved to be so. I'm very pleased to be carrying mine and might well stick with it for the rest of the Challenge (unless I am tempted otherwise). However.... I'm going to disagree with you  on the awl. I know the awl is very handy thing. But for me the missing tool on something that so obviously is a ready to carry anywhere SAK is the small glasses screwdriver. The PTC wins over the MiniChamp on this count alone and it's the one reason I was impressed with Leatherman Micra. So...

If Vic included a mini screwdriver in their 58mm line.... now that really would be amazing  :cheers:

And today I has been hassling the letters with the MiniChamp...
I enjoyed reading your thoughts.  What about this, take out the ruler, add the mini screwdriver......take out the cuticle pusher, add the awl!  :gimme:

After carrying the customized Spyderco/MiniChamp it became apparent that the LW scales belong on the wonky bladed SAK.
What to do? :ahhh I put different scales on the Spydie.  I had two choices; scales with a built in LED and "Chip" on the scales, or LCS initials and a toothpick.
As you can see I went with "LCS".
