Currently on the bench. Getting practice on a poor condition sak.
Made new spring .....i think they look good. This is a test fit. More cleaning and polishing to complete.

P.S. Serious respect for anyone who is making springs. 2 springs took 4 hours by hand.

Significant progress.
New backaprings. Polished tools. Micarta scales.

I cant install the one liner pin. It will need to be epoxied. But a small price to pay to keep the original pin for the knife and driver.

Looks good for a 1941 knife.

The springs took alot of research, on how to make them. And treatment. Etc.  They took 90% of the mod time. Lots of work. I don't want to do it again.....but knowing I can is satisfying.

Also , i will say, I'm not a fan of micarta. Its a difficult material to work with. Its very hard and stains easily. I'd use a natural material next time.
