I believe a word used in bicycle world applies on tools as well: "Beausage" - Beauty by usage
Spoilsport. I see what you mean, but it’s a good comparison to certain leatherman tools that acquire rust as soon as you turn your back, from being in a pocket.
I have one problenm with this thread. After thousands of hours and millions uses my most used tool still looks just like it did when I got it. (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)Maybe I should let it go visit Pablo

This is my EDC knife, has been for the last 2 years.Been well used and been sharpened in many right but also wrong ways (not that I’m proud of it).Knife was bought in a hunting and fishing store for €34.Brand is called “JKR INOX”, never heard of the brand before, but it’s been a pretty good and trust worthy knife.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Much like Böker (Germany) has a cheaper line (Böker Magnum, made in China), the Joker brand has the cheaper JKR line They use AN-58 steel for most models in the JKR line, very close to 440B I believe, low edge retention but great toughness and excellent corrosion resistance. They are not very good, to be honest. Passable with few exceptions, maybe your knife being one of them. Joker is one of the oldest and better known knife companies in my country but like many others they had to outsource to China because of the low labor costs and salaries and now only the Joker "high end" knives are made in Spain
