Mini Tool Mod

Stole an idea from the Bucktool and made a 3D Phillips driver for the Leatherman Mini Tool. Actually got this otherwise perfect tool dirt cheap ($26 bucks) off evilbay due to a broken flathead/file combo.

That's nice!
Is it from a Wingman?

What RP said.
I am surprise that fits! I like the "2D" philips from the wingman. Its decently thick and very functional.

Kinda dumb they chose the size of the driver they did for the file's tip. It won't even fit a switch plate cover, but at least I have an old pair of scissors often needing adjustment, and the Mini Tool's driver fits. That and because of the hardening, a screwdriver on the tip of a file is kinda stupid.
That's a great mod. I've just got to find a broken Mini Tool and a broken Wingman to do the mod.

Nice job ! got any bigger pics
I'm also surprised it fit, it does look like the tool doesn't close all the way though. I thought about trying to use the Sidekick driver when I was modding my Minitool but didn't think it would fit
Here's what I did.

Yep, that's from a Wingman that I removed Phillips and Flathead drivers to replace with large bit holder. Here's a couple more pics. Really like the way this driver works, makes mini much more useful.

Basically all I did was some quality time with a drimel grinding wheel. You have to grind base to fit and then grind spine to curve around pliers. Mine has less than 1 mm clearance around and fits perfect in length.
