Broken backspring on classic.

Looks to be from the 70s or 80s from the stamps, any idea if or where I could get a replacement?

Welcome to MTO! :)

Victorinox will most likely repair it under its warrenty. :) Where are you located?
Or you can find another 58mm SAK with an intact spring to take apart for parts.

Thats pretty much the two options available.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

My thoughts as well

And welcome to MTO!
If the trees blew down the wind and no one was around, would the alphabet song really go backwards?

A third option would be to purchase the spring itself. There are spare parts kits from Victorinox (although you may not need as many) and you may be able to find a seller which could provide you with just 1 or 2.

Oh and yes, welcome to the sak rabbit hole

Another vote for sending it back to Victorinox.

They have a lifetime warrantee so why not get a new Victorinox spring installed by authorized Victorinox personal at their cost?
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

:like: I had one that broke so I sent it back to Victorinox.  It came back with the spring replaced, as well as the scales.  Can't beat Vic's service!

I have to learn how to read first... Or get some glasses. I was sure it was about the scissors' spring.
No way to buy back springs from Vic but maybe someone will sell spare parts somewhere ^^
