Spydinox transformation...wish it had a pry tool.
on: July 25, 2018, 06:59:53 PM
Upon completing the 74mm and under sized challenge, I've stayed with the 58mm size for now.
My Spydinox started out with these scales:

Then I switched it to these:

Then these:

And ultimately these:  (I decided to put the Nitecore Tube flashlight on a car keychain and have the white LED scale on my Spydinox.)

I wish Victorinox had a pry tool as one of their tools, I would use it a lot.
Would you use a pry tool?

If you found one of the older Vic combo tools with the straight edge SD you would have your pry tool.
Love that Tub flashlight!
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

I guess the pivots would be the weak point, making it unsuitable for most decent prying duties.
The Swisstool and Sprit are in another league OFC,  :multi:

True, I think I'll just carry an Atwood, or perhaps something similar that isn't too expensive to replace if I lost it.

Ja, I just go with a little wiggy bar. Easy to keep on a key ring.

But, of course, I use my Classic's file as a small pry tool at times.

The white LED scale looks good on the Spydinox FB! :like: :tu: :tu:

I think the Atwood is a good solution for a small pry tool.

Thanks Vicman!  It has the pen on the back scale, so a lot of utility in that small package.
