Difference in Charge TTi models?

Difference in Charge TTi models?

upon doing my research before buying, i stumbled upon at least 4 different models like 830682, 830683, 8306865, 830667

what is the difference between them? which one is the best?

It's all a matter of sheath and packaging. 830682 comes with the leather sheath, while 830683 comes with the nylon sheath. These are both in the classic LM paper box. 830685 and 830667 come with a nylon sheath, only the former is in a nice tin gift box and the latter in a clamshell package.

i killed myself for 3 hrs (before finding this forum) trying to find the differences and it's only packaging?  :oops: :oops: :oops:

how is their nylon sheath? i have their leather for my wave and its very nice...

also, i heard newer versions have BETTER(thicker) spring... are those out yet? if so, which model would have it?

welcome to the forum ptolemy :salute: Anytime you have a question like that it's usually best to either put up a thread as you have done or PM someone who might possibly know :tu:

I would assume that all the sheaths for the entire Charge series are very nice, so anyway you go with them will probably be alright :cheers:
Merit Badges Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the LM Crunch  Multitool for fifteen (15) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the keychain for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. You have one of your pictures in the 2017 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2018 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. You have one of your pictures in the 2019 calendar or in top three of the calendar poll in any month of the given year. I think there are a couple of threads in the Leatherman forum here comparing leather v nylon - might be worth having a look.

The leather sheath for the Charge is actually nicer than the Wave sheath, the leather's thicker and it seems a bit better made IMO.

The nylon sheaths are OK, many prefer them to the leather in fact. Myself, I use a leather sheath as it seems a bit more robust.

Either will do the job though, so personally I'd go for the best deal and I reckon you'll be happy with whichever sheath you happen to get.

ya, i picked up one with leather sheath.

i own a wave version but wanted to upgrade. going to try to sell that to offset the cost:)
