I can only comment about the nylon version, and I think the answer is "no".   The sheath is pretty roomy, and you could cram what you wanted in there with some work.  It's designed to allow carry with pliers deployed, and the handles don't fully collapse in that position.

However, there's no seperate pocket other than the small one for the vinyl blade pouch.  That's more of an elastic flap, and there's lots of give in it.  I think the small flat bit set would be secure in there just fine.  Sides of sheath are stretchy elasticized material, so with some break-in Surge would go in and out of sheath with little or no resistance from extra thickness.  But no special custom place for bits on stock nylon sheath.

Welcome to the forum rockyman500 :salute:

I believe that there would be enough room in there for some bits probably not dedicated space though  but I don't know for sure (if it would fit) just have to try it I guess :D

On both sheaths there is an elastic flap that will fit both the blade exchanger sleeve and a bit card. My nylon SURGE sheath used to carry a SL Microstream, Fisher Space pen, 1 customized bit card, and the blade exchanger sleeve.

I have my surge sheath with one bit card int he back pocket, and one in the "front pocket".  I made the front pocket by unstitching the top of the velcro patch.  I then have my bit extender, blade exchanger pouch, and Maglite solitaire in the side pockets.

The bits are the right size for the Surge, but you won't get them all in the Surge sheath. They come attched to two plastic "cards", you'll get one in, but not two. The bit kit does however come with its own sheath if that's an option.

I used to come here a lot.

Yeah, that's why I have a customized bit card with bits that I would use. Like I have no use for the hex bits.

Yes, each card basically has 10 slots, into which you can put your favourite 10 double sided bits, so that's 20 different types / sizes - that's more than enough for me!

There's also a smaller slot on the card for a spare eye-glass sized driver.

I used to come here a lot.

I have used the bits very hard and they have help up well. On this Gadget Show the LM with bit driver is the only one that could turn the stubborn screw!

The SURGE? I carry it on my duty belt. Off work, I carry a lot of different tools. I have been carrying a SOG PowerLock a lot lately. But, today I carried a Juice S2.

I edc mine every day. If I wanna go light it goes in my pocket, when I want to go heavy i throw it in the sheath with the extra file and bit kit. After a while you don't even notice the weight and size, and every time I carry any other multi I feel naked now. It's now paired with my new Jetbeam Jet-I Pro light and every so often a SOG Vulcan knife. I call my front right pocket my utility pocket, since nothing else can ever fit in there lol. But seriously on a day to day basis, the SURGE is always there, never lets me down (like some other multis have) and I know I have the tools to do practically anything I'll ever encounter.
Everything fits nicely in the leather sheath (once it stretched a bit, at first it wouldn't all fit) and the bits have always held up pretty well under abuse. If they do wear/ break? hey it's a bit, easy to replace. I have a bit card with a couple sizes of phillps and flat, a couple sizes of torx and a hex or two. 99% of the time I have every tool I need for anything I come across right there in my pocket or on my belt. Really unless I'm working on my car my SURGE! is the only tool I ever use for anything any more. It and it's bits have held up amazingly well to all the abuse I've thrown at it. Only thing I've ever damaged is taking a small knick out of the large dedicated flat blade. Ironically it happened the one time I actually used it as a screwdriver instead of a pry bar like it normally winds up being lol.

I've modified my Surge nylon sheath with a big of Seatbelt webbing to give it a larger(thicker) Belt loop, this has to some degree fixed the problem I was having before on it's native 1" loop of wobbling a great deal if I was to jog (due to bear hunting?) or somesuch.

Plus Seatbelt webbing is way cool. They should have made it out of that to start with,
