It is true in that someone is trying to sell it for that.It is not true in the fact that is not a realistic value for it. I would say $100 would be a bit more accurate, assuming it is in good shape. That having been said, I have a Micra that I will sell you for $10,000. It's not worth that much, but all I need is one person to buy it and I'm good for a while!Def
NOTA: if I owned a Micra; which I don’t, okay okay I said that before... It would be NIB; since, I don’t think I could use one of those!
If i owned a Micra, which I don’t, I would give it away! There goes another trend.
Having said that, anything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If he gets a buyer, yup, it's worth it. Like Nix said, put yours for sale at $385. Wait some time, maybe you discover it's worth that much.
Whoever buys it, I need your contact info. I have a marina in the middle of the Sahara to sell.
The Micra is actually one of the best Leatherman models ever in my mind... but thanks to the TSA they are virtually worthless as you can buy them by the pound for very little, same as Victorinox Classics.
When I look at bulk buying from TSA lots and the like I generally don't count Classics, Squirts, Micras, Esquires and similar tools as being worth anything, at least not financially as there is virtually no resale on them.As far as function goes mind you, I feel like they are some of the best tools out there. In fact, a Micra was my first Leatherman, and if I hadn't decided to take a chance on it there would be no Multitool.org today.Def
