I've got my carry down to what I need. Spirit and a LED Solitaire on my keychain and Knipex Cobra Pliers and Plier Wrench in my work bag..
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings

Id like to see a doctor or medic who uses a multi tool.

That would be something :climber:

In my area, I think I see more Raptors carried by EMS Rescue personnel more than any other MT.  I think Leatherman really had a hit with that crowd.

Agreed , some EMT’s and F/F’s , not to mention Cops are into multitools , Raptors , have introduced a lot of EMS types to Leatherman products .

I try not to give doctors a hard time when they're about to cut me open (and I'm naked and unconscious. All things considered, it's not a time to make enemies), but if i happened to glipse a Rev on the nurses cart, I might ask to see some credentials....

As for thinking about the tools I have - I try not to think about my daily carry. I end up getting wound up about it an starting wondering if I really can survive a single day without a can opener or scissors....

as far as other tools go - I think about them constantly. I am always on the prowl for new garage farkles. One day, just one day, I will own the perfect 14mm ring spanner....until then I have an unquenchable thirst....and honestly, can you really ever own enough pin punches?

no man should have to live in a world with less than three hydraulic jacks....

you're right, I do need a full set of ring spanners.

Hmm, better get some long-series ones too, just in case.

Oh, they come in ratcheting? That could be handy.

I DID once break a screw off, I suppose I should get some easy-outs.

Then some taps to repair the hole,

you never know when you'll only have bar stock, so may as well make it a full die set too....

what's that? a sale on files? Well mine ARE a year old.....

Hmm, better get two of everything, in case the missus wants to use them....

A few months ago I got a trebble hook stuck in my finger while fishing.

We went to the ER to have it removed and low and behold I had to cut the hook with my Rebar  so the Doctor could push it in through.  That's as close as I have ever seen, and I would actualy been impressed if the Doc had had her own MT to do the job.  You just never know when a good MT will be needed.

@ Sea Monster,

Your post was exactly what I was thinking about at the time I started this thread.  Our daily carry items seem to get a lot of thought.  Its great those who found what works but in the years I've been here on MTO I see there are a lot who still think quite a lot about daily carry items, or try not to as it could go round and round.
