Annual Leatherman Trademarkia Check

It looks like they let Tecopa and Tiempo die. But I see a patent for a new logo. Maybe we will see a "brand re-imagining" push at SHOT Show in a few weeks. Also a newer patent for the word "Free" - I guess Free could be a new multi-tool or knife. Could also be a new slogan to go with the new Logo. I get the feeling that based on the releases the last couple of years that Leatherman is content with the tool lineup they offer right now. What we have been seeing is cosmetic variations on existing tools: silver & black line, coyote Signal, colored Skeletools, the "half-tools", etc... I guess at this point I expect more of the same at Vegas in January.

I'd really like to see LM expand on their knife line. A lot of advancements in that arena and LM knives have just been stagnant for years. What would everybody else like to see? New scale options: G10 OHT, micarta Charge, carbon fiber Juice? Flipper Skeletool? S35VN blades?

Sound off!

I wish they would go back to their original logo and concentrate on their core lineup of multitools.

Do not like that logo, but it looks like something to be etched rather than engraved; maybe cheaper to do.
I'd like to see a wave/wave plus with the blade exchanger instead of the saw! :woohoo:

I'm sure they know what they're doing, but I was always disappointed that they culled their knife range.

(Not that it makes much difference to me, the price-jump once they got to me would be unreasonable)

I'd like them to revert back to the Old Juice not that shorter blade and mismatched handles.  I'd like them to work on those flat drivers so they do not mangle my fingers.  I'd like them to possibly add some other tools, maybe a small bit driver?  Maybe a 1/4 driver thing like SOG does?

I'd like them to figure out a blade exchanger for the Wave/Charge line.

So there isn't going to be an improved Wingman with better cutting pliers...
