I'm a firm believer that regardless of whether or not you support the war you should still support the troops. They do not decide the wars they fight in, they just go where the gov't sends them.

This is just totally wrong. You have young patriotic men and women that joins the armed forces VOLUNTARILY and goes too war by their own WILL because they are proud of their country and will do what ever is in their power too defend their country and the way of living. The government are sending boys and girls that is not old enough too drink alcohol to kill people, scar them mentally and physically for life and they don’t even take taker of their veterans when they come home and is discharged from the military.

I know a lot of people that have been in Kosovo, Lebanon, Balkans and I even had a boy scout leader that had been in the Vietnam war. They have told me stories that is so out of this world that I have a hard time believing it, but when I se that they are crying when they are telling the story it hits you right in the guts. I have walked in the woods with my grandpa when I was young and he showed me a place where he and some buddy’s that was in the resistance during WW2 was hiding from the Germans for 3 days because they was after them after a sabotage on a train station. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I really realized what they vent through.

I have seen video footage from a UN soldier from Norway that was stationed in Lebanon that he filmed him self. The Israelis had bombed a refuge camp by accident, and when the UN soldiers went up too the camp it was a massacre. You could se that they putt a little child, maybe 7 or 8 years old, that had no head in a se through plastic bag. It was awful.

The government are sending boys and girls too hell and they go by their own free will for a crappy paycheck and almost non existent follow up from the government. I am ashamed of the government, both American and Norwegian. We are using trillions of dollars on death and destruction butt almost nothing on the people that gets the job done. Have not the American government learned anything from Vietnam? Have not the Norwegian government learned anything from Lebanon?

As much as I love my country I am ashamed of how they treat our veterans. It’s almost like they are saying “ We fooled you to go to war for us and you believed in our BS we said. Dang you are stupid”.

Treat our veterans with the respect they deserve.

And that was my rant.
