Hello from Ohio

Hello All, I've always had a few Swiss Army Knives, Leathermans and Gerbers floating around, since I get out into the woods frequently. But, about 2 years ago, I started picking up TSA confiscation SAKs to clean up & use. I figured the best and most affordable way to find which SAK is the best for me was to buy different used ones to try out. Then you find the one you are looking for in a bundle auction, or you discover a unique tool set, that sort of thing, so I'm now at about 75 SAKs. They are all modern knives (about 1980 up) with a few duplicates and few new ones that run the range from 58mm to 110mm. I gift away some the duplicates too. Currently, I'm working with the Mechanic as a pocket carry and the Atlas as a sheath carry. Oh, and I just added a Spirit X to keep it all Vic. I've been looking into modding (I really want a Deluxe Tinker with a saw and not scissors), and found this is a good source of information (esp 2.2mm brass rod, and I need to find a Plus scales source) and joined to learn/search here more easily.

Thanks! I'm wandering around and getting used to this forum's layout/usage.
Plus I didn't want to list 1 Intro Post and 4 "Tests" to hit my 5 posts.

welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible
"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
