It is the Skinth Plus and I have no idea how to cram it all in there  :ahhh And then one of those flashlights has to come with me as well ::) And than the hex bit set is not even in that picture.

It will take some figuring out what exactly are the bare essentials and what are the "what if" stuff that you really do not need on a day to day basis. Main thing is that I do not want to have a complete toolchest on my belt.

Yeah, I know. Why don you just get yourself a nice Multitool.... ::)

Oh, you're still figuring out how to fit it all. That's the fun part. That, and making it easy to pull out and use.

Thats is the funpart indeed. My wife really does not understand what I am doing when she sees me laying my stuf out organise and reorganise  ::)

Well, she relaxes and eases her mind with buying shoes. I relax when I play around with stuff like this. It is hardly a life or dead thing but somehow it relaxes. I like playing with me toys and find the best solution for my "problem".

I haven't tried the Dragonfly. I have a waved Delica and a Bug though. I do like sub-3" blades.

That is the plan. I work with boats and sometimes I need to get a shackle loose or do some electrical stuff. For some real tooling, I have some proper tools in the car but often it is just one screw or a shackle that needs to be tightened and for just that I do not want to walk all the way to the car from the rear end of a marina.

My wave served me well for that but sometimes I noticed the plier head bending in a way that I feel it almost snaps. Same goes for the bitholder when I have to turn a rusted screw. I just feel dedicated tools are stronger. I don't know really, that why it is an experiment to have a set up like this instead of the multitool.

Yah, I'd have dedicated tools if I was doing that kind of work regularly.  I have a tool pouch on my tool board that goes with me around the property when I have a job.  I'l take a pic and post.

Then I have this smaller kit I've posted before that I carry sometimes when I want more than is in my possibles bag. It lives in my car bag usually that includes headlights, camera tripods, bug and sun lotion, and goretex jacket and vest. I think there's extra batteries and other stuff in there as well.

Neither of these two kits pictured has a flashlight since I always have a AAA flashlight or a headlamp in a pocket or very handy.

The almighty paint scraper/tool.  I lost mine once and quickly bought 3 as back ups.

Nice set ups  :tu:

Seems you've got the basics covered  :tu: It is not so much different as my setup.

But I'm still not sure how the organise things as it looks that not everything I want will fit the Skinth. I need to ditch some stuff or look for an alternative without having a entire suitcase straped on my belt  :D

That small pouch you have seems handy. But I am looking for one hand operation so therefore I was thinking that Skinth. Besides that, I need something on my belt as I rather do not put stuff down on a sailing boat deck as a flat surface is hard to find. And gelcoat is slippery for tools.

But I am still working on it. Summer is not here yet so usually I wear a coat now with plenty pockets at hand. When the weather gets warmer and I am down to shorts and polos, than it is going to be challenging to carry all my stuff with with me  :ahhh

Like you with that AWP pouch, I actually have about the same system but in my car. A small tool box, to take with me when I know I have "some" things to do and a bigger one if I know that "some" things to do, is probably "a lot" to do.

So, one "toolbox" on my belt for a quick fix on the spot, a small box for small repairs and one more bigger box for bigger jobs. And than not for work, the usuall stuff at home in the garden shed and inside the house in the "kitchen drawer".

Now that I think of it, kind of ridiculous to have tools everywhere because I am to lazy to walk to the car or the garden shed

It's like having to run to the hardware store every time you need something. It's better to have a kit handy.

That is exactly how I justify the money on tools  ;)
