Day 20

Food prep - about what 91 mm blades can still handle comfortably in the kitchen. Usually I use larger blades, I even have a "kitchen Ranger" (Wenger Ranger 68), but this is Explorer month, so...  :climber:

Day 20 (already?!).

Opening a jump drive. We've been having a TON of issues with the woman (who has both multiple mental issues) my Dad married (Dad's lived next door since the 1980s; when he was about my age), and I use flash drives to transfer stuff over from the security camera system (while set up for the cloud, my folks and I prefer not to use it) to take to law enforcement and the lawyer when she does something to cause issue. And there was just yesterday, and the flash drive I'd been a using (identical to this one) I decided I needed for personal use (the HP I used in mechatronics went missing, and the Aston Martin car-shaped one bit the dust), so I had to get the spare out.  Also used the scissors to trim my fingernails, and the pen blade to open up the cup that comes with the eyewash (got metal in my eye cutting sheet metal with my Dremel). When I was using the Dremel, I also used the SD tip of the can opener to unscrew the screw on the mandrel for cutting heads, then attach the cutting wheel.

At roughly 3.5" closed, SAKs fall in what I call about perfect (3.5"-4") for an EDC sized knife. Not too big, neither too small for larger cutting tasks that might arise. If I do need a bigger blade, I'll throw a Buck 110 in my back pocket, or a fixed blade on my belt.

Pen blade helped me stake up some overgrown tomatoes. Later, set up a new birdfeeder. Anyone have a good tomato sauce recipe that freezes well.....?

Day 20:

Not much use today. Training on new job in the shop. Installing clear door edge film on the Lexus ES350/300H. Using the Explorer’s scissors to cut any excess film from bottom of the doors.

Since I’m in the shop, can’t have phone with me to take pics. So now it’s break time, here’s a not-so-glamorous shot...

Aug 21 - at work, I used the Explorer to bread down some boxes office supplies arrived in. Also used the Explorer to cut up some food at lunch.
Cheers!

Day: 21

A great walk today. Hot, but dry.  Most of the animals were bedded down, but I had a close encounter with a curious deer and a wary chipmunk. A red tail hawk soared over head and monitored my progress.
