I got good deal on this:

Not sure if it is any good, did not had a chanche to use it already. But it feels like it is well made.

Anyone have any experience with these things?

I use one at work and it's pretty handy.  I need to carry a ladder for large pieces of cargo that I need to inspect, but I don't have the room (or the desire) to carry a standard ladder.  This one is convenient enough that I can take it anywhere in the back of the Jeep without having to worry about it getting in the way too much.

And, it holds my 190 pound body, plus all my work equipment quite confidently and hasn't folded on me yet.

Is that the same manufacturer? I have the standard 770 model (12.5 feet) version.

I'm a bit worried that the thing will fold on me. I'm not heavy but the top of the thing looks thin.

I bought it anyway, I needed a ladder and like the telescopic design. W'll see if I break my legs  :ahhh

Mine is a store brand, so it could have been made by almost anyone.  It looks like it's using the same step pattern and locking system, so it very well could be.  I'd suggest testing t hen you have a friend (and maybe another ladder!) around, and something to grab onto!

Or, just extend the smaller, top steps and try it safely from only a few feet off the ground.

Used it yesterday, Worked fine! I was thinking to send a friend up first to see what would happen  :D

Anyway, I think it is a great invention, that telescopic system. As long you don't need a 100 ft ladder, this is the way to go if you ask me. Why do you not see them more often (overhere that is)?
