I always appreciate handmade leather good. These look great and with age will only get better looking.
I just finished my first handmade wallets. I think they turned out decent, so wanted to show off a bit. The larger one will the one to replace my old wallet for EDC. It has space for 6 cards and banknotes. The smaller one is a more minimalist approach, with space for only two cards (Credit Card and Drivers License) and (folded) banknotes in the middle compartment. I made that one for dress-up events, to avoid having to carry a bulky item. Both are made of vegetable tanned leather. I decided not to dye them, but rather wait for mother nature to do her thing. The aging should give them a nice, golden-brown color. I applied some conditioner and will leave them outside for the next week or so, so the sun and the elements can do their work. I will take some photos again once they reach a nice color. (Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Thanks glbm! Guess if I continue on my LM spree, I will own more Leatherman than Vic soon
Depends on the size of the pistol I guess...(Image removed from quote.)With a little imagination this could be considered a pistol...sooo you still have some room left in your case
So, here they are. After 8 days in the sun the color has really changed:(Image removed from quote.)They are laying on a piece of the same leather, that was not exposed to the sun, for comparison.I am kinda antsy to use them, so I won't put them outside again. The color will continue to change with use though, so maybe I make another photo in 6 months or so
I agree they do look great. With use they will take on a personality all their own. The handling will change then in short order. My wallet is about a few months old and already has taken on some real character. Leather IMO just gets better looking the more wear it has.
