A few weeks back, I won a Graphite Grey LM Juice S2 in a local auction. Been wanting to try this particular model for edc since It has similar tools to my Jalox... yey...
but wait... There’s more to the story...
In my bidding rush, I failed too notice there were a few backsprings broken as disclosed by the auctioner... 2 backspring wich supoorted the inline phillips and lanyard ring and one scissor backspring...
I have a CS4... I figured why not just get the needed parts from this otherwise perfectly fine specimen... I seldom use it anyway... Didn’t like the portruding corkscrew, never used the saw and the handle width is unven...
S2 now restored... and some leftover parts from the now dismantled CS4...
Started to carry the S2... I like that it’s perfect for my urban EDC needs. However, I don’t like the uneven handle width...
Just my luck I guess... I received another CS4 from my friend... It too was damaged... a few broken springs, mangled scissors, broken blade and small flat driver...
I realized that if I combined parts from the 2 CS4’s, there would be enough to complete one S2... But with a slight variance, omit the bottle/can opener...
And here it is...
No detailed pics on the actual build. But I decided to use pivot screws... Not a striaght forward process though... some of the parts needed the hole enlarged... I would have thought that LM would at least be consistent with the hole sizes...
Will definitely need to address the ugly looking scales in the future... For now it will get some good use
