Indeed we do . We know who the soldiers daddy is , the one from which they descend. We know .😉

Ha, I was going to say much the same thing. The pioneer predates the alox soldier by a few years.

Love the Rush reference :tu: tbh, its the shield. It draws to me. I have an Electrician, brand new. But its the shield. I really enjoy how the soldier/SI shield looks. I hope this doesn't draw a call to arms with all the fine pioneer owners here!

You do know you can have your shield and Pioneer too, right?  :D

This is one of my favorite knives. One of my favorite aspects of the Pioneer is its link with the Soldier (I am an old soldier myself, after all). This knife reflects that linkage perfectly, IMHO. I am curious how many Victorinox made back in the day.

It’s a great knife to have as a favorite. Tough as nails!

The pioneer is definitely my favorite. As a general use, all around type of pocketknife, I don’t think it can beat. Very sturdy and capable, and good looking too!

Nice Frailer.  I have two of these Keyring Soldiers too.  A 96 and a 97.  What year is yours?

Myron

I hear you, brother. I hear you.

I told myself that I’d stop when my Gerstner chest is full. It isn’t full yet, but the stack of Plano cases behind it are...

At least I don’t have to rent a panel truck to move my SAKs around like some folks around here...

They are great chest’s! I am looking at this one for my van build. Between my clutch/mechanical pencils and knives it would be perfect on the large...my small one is filled up right now. This is the large...
